The neck pain caused due to extreme use of cell phones is known as text next syndrome.

For the diagnosis of neck pain certain tests like MRI, X-ray are performed. Based on the results of these tests treatment of the neck pain is given. E.g. If the patient is suffering from muscle cramps, then acupuncture treatment is given. If the patient is having stress on spine, then radiofrequency ablation treatment is given. In radiofrequency ablation, injections are given to pain carrying nerves to lower the pain.

Dr. Bangar has also explained in brief about frozen shoulder and it’s treatment. Frozen shoulder is a condition which restricts the movement of hand and also causes pain while doing movement of hand. There are numerous treatments available for frozen shoulder like acupuncture, adhesiolysis etc. In adhesiolysis, injections are given in frozen area or nerves of frozen area to unfroze it. After these treatments patients are able to perform all type of movements. These treatments are day care. Patients don’t need to admit for the treatment.

Dr. Page has also explained about problem of bone growth in heels and its treatment. The bone growth in heels occurs due to excessive calcium deposit in that area.

For the treatment of heel pain, PRP therapy is very beneficial. In PRP therapy blood is taken from heel area. Various process are done on it and again it is injected into the heel area.

Here, Dr. Kashinath Bangar has given information about diabetic neuropathy. Diabetes, is a multi system disorder and can harm the nerves resulting into what we called as “diabetic neuropathy”.  It causes problems like tingling in the hands and feet, burning sensation, sometime patient may feel problem while walking etc.

The diagnosis of diabetic neuropathy is done from its symptoms. For diagnosis, nerve conduction study test is also performed. The test result may be positive or negative. If the test results are positive, the patient has diabetic neuropathy. If the test results are negative and patient has above symptoms, then also the patient has diabetic neuropathy but the sensitivity is less.

The treatment for diabetic neuropathy includes –

  1. Diabetes management
  2. Nerve strengthening drugs – To lower the effect of diabetes on nerves
  3. sympathectomy – Injections are given in spine to control the symptoms of neuropathy

With the above techniques, we can manage the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy.
